Playoffs have finally started. Almost all of the home teams have done their job and win the first game except the Blazers. Pelicans surprised then and took the win. Anthony Davis finally got his first playoff victory after four losses (all against the Warriors). Davis was unstoppable, but former champ Rajon Rondo played a true playoff game.
Both teams had a nervous start of the game. The first quarter finished with only 21-18 for the Pelicans. But after that visitors started to hit their shots. Lillard and McCollum were awful in the first half, they had 1/15 for the field and Pelicans took the lead to halftime. After the break, they played even better and the lead grew up to 19 points. Of course, Blazers didn’t give up and managed to pull back.
In the last minute, McCollum hit the three-pointer and Pelicans lead was minimal. But Holiday came through and blocked Connaughton with 6 seconds of the clock and the game was over.
The Brow Davis had a fantastic game. Scored 35 points with 15 boards and 4 blocks and dominated the paint.

Holiday was excellent in defense and besides that, he scored 21 points but the other guard was even better. Rajon Rondo was the leader of the Pelicans in this game. Dished out a remarkable 17 assists and “coached” the team on the court.

-“He’s in a different mindset. He was up all night watching film. When they were calling plays out there he was telling us what it was in our version before they had a chance to run it. He’s definitely locked in. The way he played tonight with 17 assists, he’s just in a different mode for the playoffs.”- said Davis after the game.
