Since 2015, bilateral evaluation agreements have existed with all states and territories. The Australian government includes bilateral licensing agreements with states and territories. The first step is to publish a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of a bilateral environmental permit agreement. The following projects are currently being assessed by Victoria under the bilateral agreement, pursuant to section 45 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth), with respect to environmental assessment.
